Bees & Fruit

There is a mixed bag of news to tell you. 

The good news is today I installed two bee NUC's so we have honeybees back in our yard and gardens again!  They are being fed a 1 to 1 simple syrup and I have hive reducers on each of the entrances. It is early to tell, but they seem like they have settled in nicely.

The bad news is it looks like a lean year for tree fruit and hardy kiwis at the B&B this year.  The combination of late pruning and those late killer frosts have taken their toll.  As they say, wait till next year!
