rural Hyde Park, New York, you will discover The Willows Bed and Breakfast. Your hosts Lisa & Lee Fraitag, welcome you to The Willows, built in 1765, is a lovingly restored Colonial farmhouse in the heart of the beautiful and historic Hudson River Valley. Our two guest rooms, The Stencil Room and The Green Room, are both quaintly furnished with antiques, quilts, and a distinct country charm. The accommodations are air-conditioned and have private baths.   A refrigerator with complimentary beverages are in each of our guest rooms.  There is wifi internet access as well.

We are centrally located in Dutchess County where you can  dine at the Culinary Institute of America or other fine dining establishments, visit Franklin D. Roosevelt’s Home and Museum, the FDR Presidential Library, Eleanor Roosevelt’s Val-Kill Home, Vanderbilt Mansion and the “Great Estates" Region. We are also near Marist College, Vassar College, Bard College and SUNY New Paltz.  Antique shopping, farmers markets as well as other outdoor activities are here for you to enjoy.

Savor a full and hearty breakfast prepared by Lee, a Culinary Institute of America graduate. Lee was featured on an episode of the Food Network’s “Tyler’s Ultimate” television show, were he made "The Willows Raised Apple Pancake".

Indulge yourself with freshly squeezed juice, homemade jams and sausages. Many of our breakfasts include vegetables and herbs from our own garden, the jams made from fruit picked at nearby farms. All breads are made from home-ground flours and are served with home-churned butter. Lee is a beekeeper so we have honey from our own bee hives!

"Our large green attic bedroom was filled with an astonishing and often humorous collection of rural ephemera. The solid breakfast the next morning included homemade whole wheat bread, homemade sausages, a frittata stuffed with home grown vegetables, excellent homemade raspberry and strawberry jams, and honey from the Fraitags' own beehives."
